FOUR WAYS TO ACCESS YOUR WILDERNESS GETAWAY

Getting here is part of the adventure — and you have options.
ARGO
Travel the old goldmine trail by Argo. An 8-wheel Argo with tracks is available for separate purchase.

SNOWMOBILE
The same trail provides winter access by snowmobile.

BOAT & PORTAGE
Put your boat in at Tooth Lake and travel approximately 15 minutes to the first portage.
The portages are approximately a 2-minute walk, followed by about 3 minutes by boat to the second portage.
Boats are positioned at the bottom of each portage, so there is no need to carry boats across — making the journey considerably easier.

A NOTE ABOUT THE 2025 WILDFIRE
We want to be completely transparent about the wildfire that affected the area in May 2025.
There were five cabins on the lake. Three cabins were destroyed by the fire - one is currently being rebuilt. Our cabin was not affected and remained untouched.

The cabin and its improvements are being offered as they stand today.
ASSIGNED (not leased) LAND

The cabin is located on an assignment. - the land itself is not owned with the cabin. The assignment would be transferred by the government to the new owner of the cabin.

The current annual assignment fee is only $85.50 per year.

This provides an exceptionally affordable way to enjoy your own private wilderness retreat without the cost of purchasing waterfront land.

THIS IS MORE THAN A CABIN

It’s a place to fish until sunset.
A place to watch the loons from the dock.
A place to wake up to the sound of the wilderness instead of traffic.
A place for family, friends, snowmobiles, boats, campfires, northern lights and years of memories.
And with the cabin, dock, deck, boats, storage and multiple access options already in place, much of the work of creating your wilderness escape has already been done.
If you’ve been dreaming about having your own remote fishing and wilderness retreat, this is a rare opportunity to make it happen.

A message from Manitoba Parks:
Tooth Lake Access Improvement Project-For distribution
We would like to inform you of a recently approved Fish and Wildlife Enhancement Fund (FWEF) grant that will support improvements to public access at Tooth Lake in Nopiming Provincial Park.
The project, led by the North Nopiming Wildlife Association in partnership with Manitoba Fisheries, Manitoba Parks, and Manitoba Conservation, will include improvements to the existing access trail, construction of a parking area, installation of a boat launch and dock, and the addition of supporting infrastructure such as signage, picnic tables, waste facilities, and an outhouse.
A key objective of the project is to provide safe and managed public access to Tooth Lake while taking away the need for boat caching along the shoreline. By creating a formal access point for anglers and other users, it is anticipated that cached boats and associated debris can be removed from the lake area, helping to improve the appearance of the shoreline and reduce environmental impacts.
The project also aims to provide safer access for recreational users as well as Parks and Fisheries staff conducting monitoring and maintenance activities. Once completed, the infrastructure will be maintained by Manitoba Parks.
As planning and permitting requirements advance, additional information regarding timelines and project implementation will be shared with interested stakeholders.
If you have any questions regarding the project, please contact the Lac du Bonnet Park District office.
