The room I'm offering for rent has a monthly rent of 1100 Canadian dollars, but I'm providing a 300 dollars discount. The contract with the original landlord will still be for 1100 Canadian dollars, but I'll pay you the 300 dollars discount. This can be done monthly or as a lump sum since I've already paid the last month's rent, which is 1100 dollars plus 400 dollars which I will pay you after the contract with the landlord. As I'm not currently in Calgary, you won't be able to come to visit the room of the apartment, and that's why I'm offering this discount.
