**DETAILS ‍☕️☮️‍♂️️️‍♀️**

I'm looking for two people to share a beautiful house with a garden, near Rosemont/d’Iberville on a quiet street. I’m searching for people who enjoy co-living and have experience with it. You should be calm, clean, responsible, and know how to take care of shared spaces. Communication and task-sharing are important for maintaining a good living environment.

I'm subletting two rooms from November 1, 2024, to the end of June 2025 (with no renewal possible). Moving in on December 1 is also possible.

**Location and the house **
The house is between Promenade Masson and Beaubien, with plenty of shops and buses nearby to take you to different metro lines in 10-15 minutes (Rosemont, Beaubien, D’Iberville, Frontenac, Préfontaine). Several Bixi stations are 2-5 minutes away, and Bellechasse with its beautiful bike path is right at the end of the street! On foot, D’Iberville is 20 minutes away and Rosemont is 25 (15 and 20 according to my former roommate, who had longer strides than me!).

The house is spacious, clean, and full of light (especially the kitchen in winter, it's magical). We have the ground floor and semi-basement (with a garage for your bike and storage), and we share the lovely backyard with the upstairs neighbor (who’s very calm). It’s a peaceful, sunny spot all day! There are 3 bedrooms (mine is a small one in the basement), a bathroom, a garage, a lovely kitchen, a shared living room/dining space in the basement, a laundry room, and a living room that doubles as my office.

**The vibe we're looking for ‍☕️☮️‍♂️**
We each like having our own space and peace, but we also enjoy spending time together and getting to know one another. We can have deep or fun conversations, share meals, go to the movies, watch a film together, play board games, work, read, write, or just hang out in the shared space or in our rooms—whatever works!

Sometimes we organize dinners or movie nights, with just us or friends, but we prioritize rest, food, and work, as the soundproofing is pretty average (old Montreal houses ). The garden is perfect for BBQs or brunches in the sun from time to time.

We all take care of the house together. Everyone cleans up after themselves, and we’re all responsible for our chores (monthly tasks, about 1 hour a week) to keep things running smoothly and enjoy a neat space that nurtures us!

In short, communication, kindness, and responsibility are key—knowing and expressing our limits and needs while considering others'. Respecting each other’s commitments is important so that the house remains a place of well-being, rest, and safety for all.

**The rooms: ️️**
The house is fully equipped and furnished, except for the bedrooms. Rent includes electricity (which can get high in winter due to the size and age of the house ), rental insurance, and a contribution for shared furniture and appliances (fridge, washer, dryer, coffee maker, blender, microwave, toaster, second large freezer), internet, and household supplies.

So, $610 (room 1) or $640 (room 2 - furnished) for rent, plus $150 for utilities. Both rooms are available from November 1 (though October or December 1 move-ins can be discussed if needed). Both are spacious (about 3.5m x 3.8m or 11’5 x 12’5).

Room one ($610 rent $150 utilities) is the brightest room in the house, with a window overlooking the garden. It’s unfurnished, but there’s a small built-in wardrobe and a ceiling fan. It’s located above the basement room, so soundproofing is minimal—you’ll need to be comfortable being quieter between 11pm and 9am (especially footsteps).

The other room, a little bigger, is furnished with a bed, mattress, and desk for $640 rent (plus $150 utilities). It also has a large window facing the street, a ceiling fan, and a large mirrored sliding-door wardrobe. It’s available from October 1 if you want to move in sooner. Both rooms are on the ground floor (the other bedroom is in the semi-basement).

**Your future housemate ‍♀️**
I’m Adélaïde, 27 years old.
I know it’s a bit cliché, but I have an ‘intercultural’ network, and I love being able to speak different languages daily (French, English, Spanish, and a bit of Arabic). Many of my friends (who you might see at the house) come from all over, especially Latin America and the Middle East! I’m from France, but I’m not specifically looking for French housemates, so feel free to reach out, no matter where you’re from!

I work (in food systems) during the week (3 days in the office on average). The rest of the time, I work from home, study, draw, write, cook, read, play a little music (a few hours a week, mostly when the house is empty—but we’ll make sure my music doesn’t disturb you ), and I also go out a lot!

I’m an introvert-extravert. I need solo time to recharge and do different activities, but I also love connecting with people.

I have a pretty active social life in Montreal, going out to meet friends, attend cultural/art events, take dance classes, etc. I’m into different social dance circles (tango, blues, fusion, etc.). If you like dancing, I’d love to share that! I generally enjoy bringing housemates into my social circles or at least spending time together to get to know each other and make communication easier, so everyone feels comfortable.

I’m passionate about discussing life questions, social justice, environmental issues, geopolitics, philosophy, psychology, music, dance, and much more. I’m very curious and love learning new things.

**A few notes about the lease **
The landlords plan to take back the house in July 2025, so I’ll be the only one on the main lease, which is why I’m subletting the rooms. But I’ll be living here too . We’ll need to leave this lovely house in July 2025, but if things go well between us, we can look for a new place together afterward and find a setup that works for us!

If this sounds interesting to you, tell me a bit about yourself—what you do, what you’re passionate about, and what you’re looking for in a co-living situation. Share some of your previous co-living or subletting experiences, especially what works best for you in terms of communication and managing shared spaces.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
