About the Room Rental and House, Property and Location:
Please Note: The room is not located in Ottawa, but about 35 minutes “West of Kanata”. We are situated close to Carleton Place, ON., “not near Carleton University in Ottawa”.
You will definitely require your own reliable vehicle to travel to our rural location. We are about 15 minutes west of Carleton Place, with Perth and Almonte being nearby communities. There is also Plenty of Parking available. The area roads are in good condition and well maintained during the winter months. In close proximity for major shopping, numerous restaurants, business services and hospitals.
This room is located within a beautiful and spacious rural residence on a nicely landscaped property. Our Country home is a large high Ranch style bungalow in a natural setting, surrounded with scenic farmland and forest.
The Basement Room and Amenities:
Large bright Basement Room with several windows and blinds, featuring 10 ft. high ceilings. The rental unit includes a Private Full Washroom with all household amenities. Currently furnished with a Queen Sized Bed, End Tables with several Drawers, a large Computer Desk, Clothing Dresser, Leather Love Seat, Coffee Table and Food Storage Cupboards. However, the room can be cleared for your own furniture if necessary. There is laminate flooring throughout the room which is cool and comfortable in the summer months. There is also a large Clothes Closet available for your usage. The residence has a Water Treatment System, and a recently installed Gas Furnace with Central Air Conditioning. In addition, we also have a Wood Pellet Stove in the basement near the room, for additional heating in the fall and winter. Personal Fridge and Stove with Shared Laundry in the basement. Hydro, Heat and Internet are all inclusive with access to Netflix and Prime video. Shared access to a Barbecue, back Deck and Patios with a Pool Table for recreation.
Rental Options and Guidelines:
This is a Pet Friendly home with an Outdoor Dog enclosure. We have our own socialized Cats and Dogs.
We are seeking a responsible and tidy individual who can ensure that the room is kept properly clean and left undamaged. Smoking is allowed Outside Only.
Note: We are 2 semi-retired friendly owners (but still pretty active), who live onsite, and respect other’s time, space and privacy. We would appreciate the same consideration. A friend resides with us as well, who is quiet and very easygoing.
Rent and Move Dates:
Last Month's Rent Deposit of $895 is required to hold the room and 1st Month's Rent is due upon your Move-in Date. In exchange for some domestic help or property maintenance assistance, we may accommodate a lower rent to match your budget. Available now or September 1st., or possibly later in the fall.
