ATTENTION: The last post I made stating that my family with three children is seeking a home to rent, my phone was immediately bombarded with scam messages - inappropriate images, people with American area codes pretending to work for real estate companies and other things. ANY AMERICAN OR STRANGE AREA CODE, SCAM, OR ATTEMPT TO SCAM MY FAMILY WILL BE IMMEDIATELY REPORTED. It will not work - you will never convince me - and I can spot these things a mile away, so stop trying. Thank you.
My family (children ages 13, 8 and 1) is desperately seeking a rental home before the approaching school year. We have lived in the Musquodoboit Harbour and Porters Lake area for 8 years. We are prior home owners - unfortunately due to COVID in 2021, we lost our home and have lived with family ever since.
To keep our children in the school they know - we searched and searched for a rental home for years in this area - but they simply do not exist, and we are at the point where we are forced to leave our community.
My husband is a chief mate officer/ships captain. He flies to and from northern Alberta on a rotational schedule monthly - year round. I'm a teacher. I am currently on maternity leave.
We have no pets. We are searching for anything with 3 bedrooms, $1500-1800. We will only go higher if the property is a full house, and worth the price. Rents are out of control.
We are responsible, clean, courteous and would treat the home with care, respect and love. We would be wonderful tenants, and cause no problems at all. We simply want to live a quiet life, in a home of our own.
No upper or lower levels please.
No Halifax or Dartmouth.
ANYWHERE in the entire bottom chunk of the province, or western part near New Brunswick, or all the way up to Cape Breton is fine by us. Our careers give us the freedom to live anywhere.
We have been searching for a home to rent for years. It is at the point where the search is wearing on our lives and becoming unbearable.
We pray someone gives us a chance.
