Available beginning Oct 1 until April 30 or May 31st,
Beautiful and beautifully furnished flat in a unique, renovated, historic house. The optimal location within the exploding North End: a residential street, but steps away from the best restaurants, cafes, and shops, and still walkable to the downtown core (off Agricola, just north of the Commons park).
It's got high ceilings, hardwood floors, and an open kitchen. The house is old in a good way but also modern in a good way, with many unique architectural details. There are 2 bedrooms, one bigger, with a queen bed, and one smaller with a Murphy-type bed (also queen) that folds into a wall unit, so the room is usable as both an office and also a guest room. (I don't yet have a current photo of that room).
It's the lower flat, and walks out directly into the incredible garden, which is huge, with a gorgeous dogwood, spicy arugula, tomatoes that are ripening daily, pear trees, cucumbers, grape vines, and much more, plus a giant, beautiful cedar table for magical outdoor dinners. There's a dishwasher! In the basement, a washer and a dryer shared with one other flat. Good storage/closets. A newly renovated beautiful bathroom, which has a (deep, wonderful) bathtub, but note!: no shower!
Utilities are extra and can add up, especially in the winter. There is a shared driveway, which is rare in this neighbourhood.
You (whether you are one individual or a couple: responsible, respectful, reliable, professional, mature, good credit check, looking for temporary housing in Halifax (cannot accommodate any additional furniture, or long-term leases, because I come home to live in it in the summer). You need to be a bath-lover as there is no shower! If you are handy and/or a gardener, that is a major asset.
No pets, sorry.
If you are interested, please write and tell me about yourself, and how this mid-term time frame suits you.
References and credit check will be required.
