Hello To Anyone Reading This:

I am hoping to ideally find an older or senior couple who feel they are in need of a helping hand around their home, due to their health related issues and wish to remain independently in their home. This would consist of house related duties, and I'm willing to be a Caregiver for you as well; however I don't have recent experience in this (I'm a former Health Care Aide). Just show/tell me what you need and would like done, and I'm willing to be trained.

I too am a young 'senior' (I'm 57) and my verbally/emotionally/mentally abusive and controlling home situation with my common-law spouse has become unhappy, even miserable for me to the point where I am hoping to leave and embark on a life of my own, where I could be of more appreciative use to someone else where it comes to housework, cooking, yard work if required, etc. I have been a homemaker for the past several years, and really feel that I need a positive change in my life while feeling more useful to someone else. I have no dependants, and the 3 cats my spouse and I have are really HIS cats anyway, so I will not be bringing them with me.

To help make your mind feel more at ease, I have NO criminal record to speak of, I get along with all sorts of people from various backgrounds as I'm pretty laid-back and easy-going in personality, and sensitive to the needs of others, as well I enjoy the company of seniors. : )

This offer is either for reduced rent and/or payment that is agreeable to the both of us to decide on. Please note that of course this would be a live-in arrangement and you would have to have a spare, empty room available here ONLY in the City of Edmonton, as I don't feel that I can afford the costs associated with moving to a rural area. My spouse and I have been living on income support since June and I would need to notify them once I have a new address to have in my name only.

I have obtained my certification in WHMIS 2015 with Probe It Workplace Training in April of 2023 as well as obtaining certification as a Food Handler in April of 2023 as well from ProbeIt.

Prior to that, last January of 2023 I was registered in McBride Career Group’s WEST (Women’s Essential Skills Training) program for women of which I had been a proactive and diligent participant, where I successfully obtained both my Certificate of Completion and Program Report.

I also obtained my certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED from Save a Life which may be a positive and useful asset for this position.

As far as my cleaning maintenance skills, I have several years experience as a Homemaker. This also has included cooking and preparing meals, laundry, etc, in addition to having always shopped for food and household supplies for my household.

I am a friendly, courteous, and personable team player who gets along harmoniously with others. I have a professional in-person manner, including positive customer communication skills. I am friendly, honest, and very personable, am reliable and responsible, and I take pride in how the residence is clean while paying attention to detail.

In addition I possess strong values/Christians values and ethics as well. I don't believe in taking advantage of people and I hold trust and integrity in high value.

I rarely drink, and I don't abuse drugs of ANY kind, including pot. I do smoke, but I'm wanting to quit once I have relocated and won't need it for stress related reasons.
