We have two private rooms available in a beautiful, recently renovated 3-bedroom apartment located on the second floor of a classic North End Halifax building. With a bright, airy atmosphere and a homely feel, this space is perfect for anyone looking for a welcoming and peaceful living environment.
Apartment Features:
Bright & Spacious: Large windows let in lots of natural light, making the apartment feel warm and inviting.
Shared Common Areas: You’ll have access to a shared living room, kitchen, and bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the living room offers a great place to relax or socialize.
Storage & Laundry: Enjoy free laundry in the shared basement, along with extra storage space.
Private Entrances: Both front and back entrances are accessible via a short flight of stairs, offering added privacy and convenience.
Cat Friendly: One cat is welcome—bring your furry friend along!
Location: Perfectly situated near bus routes, grocery stores, bars, and everything you need to enjoy the North End lifestyle.
Rent & Utilities:
Rent: $825/month per room.
Utilities (shared among three tenants):
Power: Approx. $100-$130 every two months.
Wifi: $92/month (currently with Purple Cow).
Oil: Oil tank fill costs about $1,200 (but it’s currently full). Top-ups are around $300 every few months.
Total Monthly Cost (including rent and utilities): Approx. $1,000/month.
What We’re Looking For:
Ideally, one of the new tenants will be comfortable taking over the utility accounts (oil, power, wifi) and managing them in their name—everyone will contribute their share via e-transfer.
We’re seeking tenants who are queer/trans friendly, tidy, quiet (but socializing is definitely welcome), and COVID-cautious.
It’s important to us that tenants are respectful of the space and considerate of others, but we also understand that mental health and executive function can be a challenge sometimes.
About Me:
I’m a 24-year-old, nonbinary person who works in nonprofits. I’m neurodivergent and disabled, and I work from home about two days a week.
I keep the space clean and tidy, and I can often be found on the loveseat in the living room, reading a book.
I value a quiet, homey atmosphere, but I’m always open to some socializing when the mood strikes!
