Hi, my name is Kyle and my roommate and I are looking for a third to share in our cozy yet spacious apartment in the heart of Cabbagetown!
We are ideally looking for someone to sign a year lease, beginning December 1st. The apartment is located right on Parliament Street, above a storefront, and is two floors. The first floor is where the bedrooms and shared bathroom is, while the upstairs is where the living room, kitchen and our massive deck is located.
I am a working professional in the arts and like to spend time at home watching movies and playing video games (although I am very respectful of any noise) and like to keep the deck looking full of plants in the summer.
We are both very clean and tidy people and we want our third roommate to care about that as much as we do. We run a tight ship and are looking for someone who has an equal inclination to keeping things neat and tidy. We strive to keep everything as clean and comfortable as possible and deeply respect all shared spaces, being mindful to not leave messes for the others to work around. I take a lot of pride in the apartment for that reason.
The living room is quite cozy and is separate from the kitchen, so whoever is using the living room has a lot of privacy. As a tenant you would also be able to use the ps5, amazon prime, disney plus, crave and dropout TV. I like to share things, as long as they are treated with care, this includes the airfryer, kettle, magic bullet and other amenities that make all our lives easier.
Rent is technically $850/mth plus $150 in utilities, bringing the total to $1000/mth. Internet is another $50/mth. So all total, monthly rent for this bedroom and living space is $1050 per month - a fantastic deal in Toronto!
And the area could not be more convenient. We are on Parliament so there is direct access to the Carlton streetcar which runs 24/7, as well as the Route 65 bus, which takes you directly to Castle Frank subway station. Stores like No Frills, Dollarama, Shoppers Drugmart, LCBO, TD bank, CIBC bank, and Home Hardware are all literally within a 5 minute walk from our front door making getting essentials like groceries or other supplies super convenient. There are also diners, bars, dispenseries, and thai restaurants all closeby, as well as Riverdale Farm and Riverdale Park within walking distance if you feel like escaping to some nature.
The only thing is that we do not have on-site laundry, but there are two laundromat within quick walking distance.
